Moving out!

AJ has had a little bicycle, but it has been just a little too big for him to peddle. So, Dave got him a big wheeler. AJ has loved it. Every day we have been taking Goldie for walks while we run to keep up with AJ going around the block. Today, Dave came home with a Batman scooter that some customer gave him to throw out. We spent a long time outside tonight letting him play on it. I was impressed with how well he took off on it.

Easter

AJ had a great Easter. We did a number of Easter egg hunts in our house. First with empty eggs just for fun (AJ loved being able to "hide" eggs too, but then he wanted to race me to find the ones he hid as well). Later, we put a few treats in a few of the eggs for a surprise. Then Memaw, who was here with us for Easter, had us hide eggs she had filled and brought with her. AJ made out like a bandit with tons of goodies and money. We also went to a story time and egg hunt at a book store. AJ looked so handsome in his new suit from Memaw.

AJ's first soccer class for 2 and 3 year olds. He loved it! His Godparents will be so proud of him!

Snow, snow, snow

On Saturday morning, we woke up with about 10 inches of snow on the ground and still coming down steady. By the afternoon, we had 15 inches. Since it was no longer coming down, Dave took AJ outside to play. They built what AJ called a snow house and ran around letting Goldie chase them. On Monday they built a snow man that AJ named Tree Head. Tonight Dave promised to help AJ make another one because AJ said that he wanted to make a mommy Tree Head. It's funny. This is the kind of snow I expected for winter when we moved to Ohio, but I've since learned that Columbus hasn't had snow like this in 20 years. So far, I've found that Kansas was getting more snow than we were here. I wouldn't want this as a common occurrence, but the snow has been so much fun for AJ. He is having a blast in it. What's really great is that despite all the snow on the ground, yesterday turned out to be such a warm day that you really didn't need a coat to be outside.

Great Granda visits with Grandma Kay

Visits with grandma Kay are always fun, but this visit was extra special because she brought AJ another playmate....Great Grandma from Missouri. She and Great Grandma also brought Mack (the truck from the Cars movie) along with a few more cars from the movie as well. AJ is big time into Cars right now and his favorite is Mack. AJ was thrilled to have playmates willing to play cars with him for as long as he liked.
